We believe great entertainment shouldn’t cost the earth. You seem to think so too – we’re the most-watched digital TV service in the UK – 20 million homes have Freeview*. After all, we give you the most popular UK channels subscription free. All you need is a Freeview HD TV or HD recorder, then plug in your aerial. And you’re good to go, no strings attached.
We’ve come a long way since 2002. Freeview was launched by DTV Services Ltd, a company owned and run by BBC, Sky, Channel 4, ITV and Arqiva. We started with just 25 free to air channels – now you can watch over 60 digital TV channels and up to 12 HD channels, as ever, subscription free.
