Just as the first Freeview HD boxes arrive instore Freeview has launched its new iPhone app.

Now you can plan your viewing whilst you are on the go and make sure you catch your favourite programmes.

The Freeview iPhone app gives you instant access to the Freeview TV guide. It puts the Freeview HD channels up front to help you plan you viewing in HD. Plus you can view the other Freeview channels and get individual channel listing, programme details and recommendations.

The new app will also offer the ability to filter listings by category, search by text entry, or follow viewing suggestions via Freeview’s Twitter feed – www.twitter.com/freeviewtv . Recommendations are also automatically provided for all programmes to help introduce users to related programmes based on their selections.

The Freeview app is free and available for all iPhone and iPod touch users to download from iTunes or the app store now.

You can preview it on the iTunes store page:
