    Hard drives are built into the Freeview recorder so you don't need a tape or disc to record a program.

    How it works- when programmes are recorded they are written onto a hard disk inside the Freeview recorder. If you want to watch the program later on, the hard drive simply reads the program back and plays it on your TV. If you set your Freeview + recorder to record a program, the timer automatically switches the tuner to the right channel and turns on the hard drive when the program comes on.

The Icecrypt T2400 Freeview HD DTR is a feature packed recorder with capacity of up to 200 hours of high definition programming with its 1TB hard disk.
SD channels are also upscaled to 1080P (if connected by HDMI) to offer the best quality. If you do manage to find 4 programmes shown at the same that you want to record & 1 is being shown later the T2400 will automatically suggest the alternative showing for you to record instead,giving you flexibility over your schedule. The T2400 also plays other media including MP3,AVI & JPEG,allowing the receiver to act as a media centre for all of your movies,photos & music.

I could not get the HDMI connection to work on my HD ready TV. HD channels were accessable using a scart connection but I could see no appreciable increase in picture quality and sound quality suffered. The machine lasted 2 months before it developed a fault which could not be rectified by the technical helpline and I returned it.

Easy to set up, comes with all the cables, & I have not got around to reading the manual yet! I have just used the 'Quick Set up Sheet' that came with it. It is nice to have a big hard drive of 2TB it is amazing how quick the smaller ones 320Gb & 500Gb fill up! Even got a reminder to convert when the signal changed over.
Bad Points
When looking at the guide, could do with a slightly bigger picture of the programme that is being watched.
