RYAN! NEVER MIND THAT - YOUR DAINTY DIGITS HAVE YET TO FIND YOUR FREEVIEW’S RED BUTTON!
NOW COME ON!
RED BUTTON IS NOTHING TO BE AFRAID OF!
The button is a very simple tool which basically gives you lots more information behind the main channels and lots of extra choices. SO, GO AHEAD MY GOOD MAN! PRESS AND DISCOVER!
In the menu you can see there are different categories of information. Think of these as extra channels. Some of which have live TV of anything from major sporting events to music festivals. So, you could choose which band you want to watch at Glastonbury or which court you want to watch at Wimbledon. Use the arrow key and select ‘weather’ for example. You can then go through menus to find up to date weather information for where you are.
Using the yellow button, go back and you’ll find other useful categories such as children’s games and puzzles, up to date travel information and news headlines.
Treat it really as a tool to get the information you need, when you need it. No need to wait for the news bulletin or the weather summary – RED BUTTON MEANS YOU CAN HAVE IT WHENEVER YOU LIKE!
This is the BBC page but similarly on ITV the Teletext service offers the same sort of information. Pressing text gives you the Teletext Channel- all kinds of information at the touch of a button – YOU CAN EVEN BOOK A HOLIDAY!
SO THERE YOU HAVE IT! NOW ISN’T THAT HELPFUL RYAN?
