How do I get Freeview and how much does it cost?
Once you have checked you are in coverage , then to get Freeview you need to buy a digital box, digital TV recorder or digital TV and connect it to your aerial.
Prices for digital boxes start from around £20, for digital TV recorders around £80 and digital TVs start at £200 - see the product range here . Once you have paid this one-off cost there is no subscription to receive Freeview.
A very small number of customers with weather damaged aerials may need an aerial upgrade in order to experience the complete Freeview service. Our guide to aerials and reception provides more information.
