Week 21: Freeview news and highlights

18 May 2012

The Generosity Game

We are now into the  final week of The Generosity Game! It's your last chance to play for some awesome (and really generous, no, really) prizes!

This week you'll have to guess how many standard 18" helium balloons it will take to life a tea tray laden with tea in order to win:

A visit to Highclere Castle for two adults (two one day tickets) including one night's hotel accommodation with breakfast, return train tickets to your nearest station, one three course dinner for two people and £250 spending money. To top it off, you can win the tea tray featured in the final lift.

We hate to boast but really, how good is that?

Remember you can guess every day so make sure you don't miss out on The Generosity Game .

TV Highlights

Saturday

We can't deny that one of the main TV choices will be the UEFA Champions League Final on ITV1 (7:45 pm) but for those interested in a different kind of drama, don't miss the final two episodes of The Bridge on BB4 at 9pm and 10pm. Or if you're in the mood for a classic film, James Cameron's Titanic is on Channel 4 at 6:05pm.

Sunday

Lots to put you in a good mood today with the Chelsea Flower Show at 5pm on BBC1, Happy Feet (who doesn't love dancing penguins?) on ITV2 at 6:55pm and Channel 4 Comedy Gala is back on that channel at 9pm.

Monday

He's sure too look good while he's doing it but can he cook? You can find out in Gok Cooks Chinese at 8:30pm on Channel 4. A new dating show debuts on E4 so be sure to see what Love Shaft is all about at 7:30pm. If you're in the mood for something a bit more factual, documentaries Chatsworth (9pm, BBC1) and another installment of 56 Up (9pm, ITV1) also feature.

Tuesday

The second series of Silk continues on BBC1 at 9pm whilst the new series Trash to Treasure starts on ITV1 at 7:30pm. For something a little different, check out My Big Fat Fetish (with a title like that you can't help but be intrigued) on Channel 4 at 10pm. If you're in a movie mood, we suggest Saving Private Ryan with the talented Tom Hanks on Film4 at 9pm.

Wednesday

Back to back great viewing tonight as Lewis, full of drama, continues on ITV1 at 8pm, The Apprentice (BBC1, 9pm) edges ever closer to the final and the US version of The Killing is on Channel 4 at 10pm.

Thursday

Fernando has yet another task on his hands in The Restaurant Inspector on Channel 5 at 9pm and the well received comedy Grandma's House is back on BBC2 at 10pm. It's time to say goodbye to our animal friends in the final episode of Planet Earth Live at 8pm on BBC1 but do take a look at 24 Hours in A&E on Channel 4 at 10pm. It's a repeat of Wednesday night's episode and is a fascinating insight into emergency medical care.

Friday

The latest series of Episodes continues on BBC2 at 10pm but before that catch the beginning of a new series, The Great British Story: a People's History at 9pm (BBC2.) For something from further afield, take a look at Unreported World: Cameroon on Channel 4 at 7:30pm.

That's all folks - lots of great TV for you to enjoy.
