West Country

The West Country TV region will switchover to digital TV in 2009, at which point almost whole region will get Freeview. Check coverage at your address by entering your details in the form on the left hand side of this page.

Digital UK will be writing to everyone in your region before the signal switches to digital to keep you posted on what's happening.

Here's the timetable for your local TV transmitter to switch to digital.

April to June 2009

Beacon Hill transmitter group
Serving Torbay and south Devon. The switchover process starts on 8 April and completes on 22 April 2009.

Stockland Hill transmitter group

Serving Exeter, south-east Devon, south-west Somerset and parts of west Dorset. The switchover process starts on 6 May and completes on 20 May 2009.

July to Sept 2009

Huntshaw Cross transmitter group
Serving north Devon. The switchover process starts on 1 July and completes on 29 July 2009.

Redruth transmitter group

Serving west Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The switchover process starts on 8 July and completes on 5 August 2009.

Caradon Hill transmitter group

Serving east Cornwall and Devon, including Plymouth. The switchover process starts on 12 August and completes on 9 September 2009.
