Freeview Playback launches
This month sees the arrival of Freeview Playback digital TV recorders which make it easy to record digital TV.
There's no need for tapes, no timers and you get to watch the TV you want, when you want it.
And just like Freeview, Freeview Playback has no monthly subscription, unlike some other digital TV recorders on the market.
With Freeview Playback you will be able to:
- record programmes at the touch of a button
- pause and rewind live TV
- record one channel whilst watching another
- fit TV schedules around you
When you buy a Freeview Playback digital TV recorder you'll also get access to Freeview’s 40 free channels*, including the digital favourites such as ITV2, E4, Film4, CBeebies and BBC Three.
Leading manufacturers Humax, Sony and TVonics are the first to offer Freeview Playback digital TV recorders, which will be available from Argos, Comet, John Lewis and Tesco from May 2007.
More Freeview Playback digital TV recorders will be available from Alba, LG and Sharp (amongst others) in the summer. Check our digital TV recorder page for details of the latest products.
