Can I have a mix of Freeview, satellite and cable in my home?

Some households do have a mix of all three television inputs or a variety thereof. If one television receives its current analogue signal through an aerial you will need to buy and set up a digital box to receive digital television. You will also need to ensure that you have Freeview coverage and that your current aerial and cabling is of sufficient quality and condition to receive good quality signals. As an indication, if you are receiving a good signal now, there is good chance you may receive a good reception with Freeview, but check your coverage on our website. No subscription is required for Freeview through a digital box.

If you have a cable connection to a television set in another room or rooms and a subscription to a cable TV provider then you are already receiving digital television on this set and it will work quite independently of the Freeview service on the other set.

If in yet another room you have a television connected to a satellite dish and hold a subscription with a satellite TV provider, then again you are receiving digital television through this service. It too will work quite independently of the other services.
