Do I have to retune? If I don't can I still continue viewing my current channels?

If you do not retune you will continue to see the channels at their old numbers however you may not be receiving additional channels that have become available to you since the last time retune. To ensure you are getting all the services available in your area we strongly recommend that you retune your digital box every couple of months.

Retuning (or rescanning) your digital box is straightforward. Some digital boxes and TVs retune automatically, others need to be manually retuned. To manually retune you need to press "Menu" on your remote control and follow the on-screen instructions or those printed in your manual. A typical sequence is:

  • Press Menu on your remote control.
  • From the Menu options, select the 'Tuning Menu'
  • Select 'Auto Setup' or 'Update' to retune your digital TV*

*also referred to as 'Update', 'Rescan', 'Replace' or 'Store Channels'
