The week ahead according to Freeview...
Saturday
Six Nation’s Rugby kicks off from 4.30pm on BBC One and BBC One HD with Scotland v England. Tune in to watch the two teams battle it out in stunning Freeview HD.
Harry Hill is back on ITV1 and ITV1 HD with a brand new series of Harry Hill’s TV Burp from 7.15pm. The bald-headed comedian will be taking a light-hearted look at the funny old world of TV that one would normally miss.
Sunday
Russell Tovey and Lenora Crichlow return to BBC Three and BBC HD for a new series of Being Human at 9pm. The show, that plays host to a Werewolf, a Ghost and a Vampire, starts it’s fourth series with a newborn werewolf.
Monday
At 8.30pm on BBC One and BBC One HD, Panorama will be Hunting the Internet Bullies after the rise of people hiding behind their screens and stalking social networks. Cher Lloyd speaks openly about being bullied online and the programme looks at a term known as ‘trolling’.
In the run up to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, BBC One and BBC One HD will be showing a three-part series called The Diamond Queen. The films will look at Elizabeth II’s time on the throne with archive footage and interviews with Royal Family members from 8pm.
Deaf Teens: Hearing World is on BBC3 at 9pm and tells the story of five hard of hearing youngsters. The show will see the group adapt to the hearing world, a place where sound is taken for granted.
Tuesday
Gok Wan is back with a vengeance, helping teenagers with their body issues. In the first episode of three, Gok meets a young boy with weight issues and a girl with anorexia. Gok’s Teens: the Naked Truth starts at 8pm.
In 2008, Katie Piper was viciously attacked with acid by a jealous ex-boyfriend. Almost 4 years later and 109 operations, Katie is looking at undergoing a pioneering surgery to get the sight back in her left eye. Katie: the Science of Seeing Again on Channel 4 and Channel 4 HD at 9pm.
Over on BBC2 and BBC HD, a new three-part series called How to Grow a Planet begins. The first episode, Life from Light, tells the story of the first days of the Earth’s light, helping plants and dinosaurs survive.
Death Unexplained is a new three-part series which starts at 10.35pm on BBC One and BBC One HD. Based around a coroner and her team, the grim but insightful series looks what it’s like to deal with dead, day in and day out.
Wednesday
Dancing dogs, singing cats and monkey’s that do maths – the animal world is smarter than we think. Super Smart Animals is a new two-part documentary looking at the intelligence of clever pets from 8pm on BBC One and BBC One HD – the 2nd part is on tomorrow at the same time.
Over on Channel 5 at 9pm, NCIS returns for a eighth series. The US d
rama stars Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherley.
Dawn French is back to what she does best, comedy, at 10pm on BBC2 and BBC HD. Roger and Val Have Just Got In also stars Alfred Molina who play’s French’s husband in the comedy about a middle aged couple.
Jimmy Car and co. team up again for a new series of Ten O’Clock Live from 10pm on Channel 4 and Channel 4 HD. The topical news show with a sense of humour is on for the next ten weeks.
Thursday
ITV1 and ITV1 HD will be looking at The Cost of Going Green in a Tonight special at 7.30pm. The programme looks at eco-friendly plans, using wind, sun and water, and how they effect the average household.
Over on Channel 5 at 8pm, a team of scientists will be heading over to Bermuda to work out exactly what went down in the triangle. After a series of planes and boats going missing, Bermuda Triangle: the Mystery Revealed should uncover some secrets.
Hurrah – Celebrity Juice with Keith Lemon and Rufus Hound is back for a brand new series on ITV2 at 10pm. The comedy quiz show will star an array of special guests alongside Fearne Cotton Holly Willoughby.
Friday
BBC2 and BBC HD will be showing Wild about Pandas, a one-hour documentary about Tian Tian and Yang Guang, who were moved to a Scottish zoo. The programme is narrated by David Tennant.
ESPN Free Weekend
ESPN are offering a free preview weekend to Freeview viewers this weekend. Tune in to channel 34 for a host of Football, Tennis, Boxing and Basketball. For more info, check out ESPN's website here .
