I can't get digital coverage now, when the analogue signal is switched off I will have no service?

When rollout takes place, coverage will extend to the whole country. We understand that the Government intends that there will be enough time for everyone to buy digital boxes.

The Government's aim is to achieve full switchover from analogue to digital television by 2012 and on 15th September 2005, it announced the timetable for switchover from analogue to digital television, which will occur in stages, ITV region by ITV region between 2007 and 2012.

The planned dates for switchover in the different areas of the country are as follows:

• 2007 - Whitehaven in Cumbria
• 2008 - Border
• 2009 - West Country, HTV Wales, Granada
• 2010 - Grampian, HTV West, Scottish TV
• 2011 - Central, Yorkshire, Anglia
• 2012 - Meridian, Carlton/LWT, Tyne Tees, Ulster
