I have heard that a new channel is to be launched on Freeview shortly, Can you tell me what the name and channel number is going to be?

Unfortunately we do not have information on new channels. The decision as to which channels go on to Freeview is actually down to the licence holders for each multiplex. Many new digital TV channels have been added since the launch of Freeview in 2003. Shortly prior to the launch of any new channel there is usually a temporary advert detailing when the channel will launch. We advise that on the launch day of the new channel, you should carry out a 'retune' or 'rescan' for channels on your digital box or digital TV to receive any new channels (some boxes will carry out this function automatically).
