If you want to get in the Halloween space of mind and rom coms just aren’t for you then the horror film Babadook might be just the ticket. Released in 2014, Babadook has a fierce reputation, it tells the story of a single mother plagued by her husband’s violent death battling with her son’s fears of monsters, who discovers a sinister presence all around her.

Pulp Fiction, UKTV Play

Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction

Arguably one of the greatest cult movies of all time, Quentin Tarantino's Oscar-winning black comedy about a shady group of LA lowlifes is available now. Starring John Travolta and Uma Thurman.

Force Majeure, All 4

A bearded white man stands in front of a wall of ice, ski sticks in hand.

A darkly comic and oddly gripping Swedish drama. A man's selfish reaction to the danger posed by an avalanche causes cracks in his marriage and relationships with his children. Force Majeure was even remade for American audiences earlier this year, with the release of ‘Downhill’, featuring Will Ferrell. However, as is so often the case, it is nothing on the original.
