Essential update in the Brighton area – 25 September 2017

Posted September 26, 2017 - Service Updates

Freeview viewers in the Brighton area may experience temporary disruption to their TV services this week as engineering work takes place at the Whitehawk Hill transmitter. This essential work is needed to prepare for a future change to TV airwaves required by Ofcom, the media regulator, for the development of mobile services.

Some viewers may need to retune their Freeview TV or box if they find they are missing channels.

Retuning should be straightforward and some TV equipment will retune automatically. Anyone who needs advice, or who finds they are still missing services after retuning, can contact the Freeview Advice Line free on 0808 100 0288.

Note: The timing of engineering works is subject to weather conditions.
