Friday 14 March – high pressure weather system affecting reception in Central and Southern England

Posted March 14, 2014 - Service Updates

Some viewers may experience interference due to the current weather system, particularly in the Midlands through to the South Coast of England.  Freeview TV signals may be affected by atmospheric conditions, including high air pressure, this may result in temporary pixelation or viewers receiving signals from outside of their area even other countries.

Unfortunately there is no solution to this natural interference and broadcasters cannot prevent it.  Reception will return to normal once the weather changes.
