What about settings for individual players?

Posted September 21, 2015 - Living with Freeview Play

Currently, you’ll have to set your preferences for each player – this will allow you to:

  • Change the parental lock settings. You can set a pin to restrict content intended for those over the age of 16
  • Access the ‘help’ section, so you can make the most of your viewing

In most cases the players will play videos at the best quality according to the speed of your internet connection*. BBC iPlayer gives you choice between this and standard definition – so check your settings before you start viewing. Simply go to:

Settings>video quality>best quality

*A minimum broadband speed of 2Mbps is required to watch catch up and on demand services – this will count towards any monthly broadband data allowance. Only selected channels provide 7-day catch up.
