What is Freeview Play?

Simply put, it’s live TV and on demand, all in one place. Watch catch up through your TV guide and access last week’s shows, on demand without lifting a finger.
Find programmes from BBC iPlayer, the ITV Hub, All 4, My5 and UKTV Play sitting alongside over 70 digital channels and 15 HD channels. Simply make sure your TV or recorder is connected to the internet and you’re good to go. And as ever with Freeview, there’s no monthly fee.

Choose a product

Either add to your current set-up with an easy to install Freeview Play recorder from Humax or Panasonic or, why not grab a Freeview Play TV from Panasonic, LG, JVC, Hisense, Bush or Finlux where it’s all built in and ready to go.

Get connected

Okay, now your Freeview Play TV or Freeview Play recorder has arrived, make sure your aerial is plugged in securely then, using the built-in Wi-Fi, connect your new TV or box to the internet. It’s that simple.

What is Freeview Play?

In short, Freeview Play puts on demand services with live TV in one easy to use package.

You’ll need a Freeview Play TV or recorder:  plug in your aerial, then follow the setup instructions on screen. Connect to the internet then, once online check for the latest software.  Then tune in to find the Freeview channels available to you.

Then you can enjoy live TV programming and catch up on shows from the last 7 days. To do this, scroll backwards through your TV guide and select the show you’ve missed. It’s that easy.

You’ll find programmes from BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, My5 and UKTV Play in the TV guide, sitting right alongside live television. And, with other services being added over time, we’re well on our way to giving you everything you love in one place. 

All Freeview Play products come with:

  • 70+ standard channels
  • Up to 15 HD channels
  • On demand TV available directly from the TV guide**
  • Freeview Play apps page with access to TV players
  • Red Button+ service on BBC channels
