What is Freeview Play?

To put it simply: it’s catch up made easy. Find programmes from BBC iPlayer, the ITV Hub, All 4, Demand 5 and UKTV Play sitting alongside over 60 TV channels and up to 15 HD channels. Simply scroll back in your TV guide to watch shows you missed from the last 7 days. Just make sure your TV or recorder is connected to the internet and you’re good to go. And as ever with Freeview, it’s all for £0 a month.

Choose a product

First off, you’ll need to buy either a Freeview Play TV or a recorder. Freeview Play is a new standard, so it won’t be found in current TVs and recorders. However, you can add Freeview Play to your current TV, just connect your set to a Freeview Play recorder.

Get connected

Next up, make sure your aerial is plugged in securely. Then connect your new TV or recorder to your broadband using Wi-Fi. Now tune in to get your Freeview channels.

What is Freeview Play?

It’s an easy way to enjoy catch up TV from Freeview.

All you have to do is connect your TV or recorder to the internet*, then scroll back through the TV guide and find a show you missed. You will find programmes from BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, and All 4** in the TV guide, sitting alongside live television. Other services are being added all the time, like BBC News and BBC Sport. Everything you love is in one place.

All Freeview Play products come with:

  • Up to 60 standard channels
  • Up to 12 HD channels
  • Catch up TV available directly from the TV guide
  • Freeview Play apps page with access to TV players
  • Red Button+ service on BBC channels
  • Streaming channels on the TV guide
