Two policemen stood looking at the camera, picture has a grainy aged quality

If you are looking for classic drama, here you have it. The UK’s longest running police drama is back, with the first five series available on UKTV Play. The Bill still packs a punch, with a raw nervous energy that makes you feel like you are right there with them. For modern viewers it is also a fascinating look at life in London in the ‘80s, with much of the drama filmed outside in East London.

Scrubs, All 4

Cast of Scrubs in a hospital smiling at the camera

Ahh Scrubs. An era defining sitcom, with all 9 seasons available to binge now. From the hilarious antics of JD and Turk, to the very real traumas that come from working in a hospital, it is not every TV show that can make you laugh and cry in the space of just one 22 minute episode, but somehow Scrubs can, and we love it.

IT Crowd, All 4

Cast of IT Crowd sit against a white background uncomfortably close to each other and not making eye contact

First shown in 2006, IT Crowd’s witty take on a dysfunctional IT department is still a joy to watch. Chris O’Dowd, Richard Ayoade, and Katherine Parkinson make a dream comedy trio, and it is light hearted entertainment at its best.
