With the return of some live sporting events alongside the broadcasters airing some of the most epic sporting moments from their archives, it’s starting to feel like it could be a Summer of Sport after all.
Formula 1, Channel 4
Formula 1 is also back, with the Austrian, Hungarian and Great British Grand Prix all due to take place behind closed doors. Channel 4 will be airing highlights from every Grand Prix, as well as broadcasting the entirety of the British Grand Prix in August.
Olympics Rewind, BBC
The BBC are also serving up 12 days of dedicated Olympics coverage, with highlights from Beijing 2008, London 2012, and Rio 2016. Starting the 14th July Olympics Rewind will take a look back at some of the greatest moments from the last three Olympics games. The daily highlights shows will revisit opening and closing ceremonies, incredible sporting feats and the best of Britain’s Olympic achievements.
Test Match cricket is returning to the BBC for the first time in over 20 years, with highlights from every Test Match airing on BBC Two. Cricket World Cup-winner Isa Guha will present the highlights, starting with the Test Match between England and the West Indies at the Ageas Bowl, Southampton on 8th July, 7pm.
