Five TV Favourites returning to our screens this Christmas

Christmas isn’t just about the festive specials; there are plenty of our favourite TV shows making a comeback over festive period. Whether you’re a lover or a fighter, there’s something for everyone on TV as we move in to 2015. So, let’s start at the very beginning – after all, it’s a very good place to start…

Birds of a Feather on ITV, Friday 26th December at 9pm

Our favourite feathery trio is back on Boxing Day to kick off their new eight-part series. The Birds are off for a Christmas trip to the Canary Islands to chase the winter sun but as you’ll see in the trailer below, things don’t quite go as expected…

The Hotel on Channel 4, Sunday 28th December at 8pm

Moving on from the Canaries, Channel 4 is headed back to Torquay where Mark is preparing to take up a new role in a new hotel. He’s moved on from The Grosvenor to The Cavendish for a five week stint as their Entertainment Manager. But is Mark the saviour hotel owners, Joyce and Ernie are looking for? Tune in to find out. Last Tango in Halifax on BBC One, Sunday 28th December at 9pm

Back in Halifax, Celia and Alan’s honeymoon comes to an abrupt end when Alan is forced to think about his past. Will they be allowed to enjoy married life? As always, you’ll have to tune in to find out as there is bound to be a twist or two. Get a sneak peek of the new series here:

The Musketeers on BBC One, Friday 2nd Jan at 9pm

Meanwhile, there’s a Royal baby that looks remarkably like Aramis in the new series of The Musketeers. That’s right; the swashbuckling bearded heartthrobs are back (minus Peter Capaldi’s evil Cardinal Richelieu). The series kicks off with The Comte De Rochefort wanting the King’s head. Will d’Artangan, Athos, Aramis and Porthos be able to stop him? Tune in to find out. Here’s a sneak peek of what’s to come:

Benidorm on ITV, Friday 2nd Jan at 9pm

From France to Spain! Calling all sun-worshippers – your favourite comedy series, Benidorm, is back for a triumphant seventh series. Series regular, Joan Collins is also set to make a return as CEO Crystal Hennessy-Vass and the series begins with preparing us to say a fond farewell to the Garvey family. Here’s a clip to help you appreciate old favourite, Madge, in all of her glory:
