New channel alert: 4seven

Posted July 4, 2012 - Features

As if there weren’t enough amazing channels on Freeview already, from 4th July there will be yet another joining the line-up.

The folks at Channel 4 are bringing you 4seven  on channel 47: “another chance to catch up with the most popular and talked about Channel 4 content from the last 7 days with the ease of a remote control rather than going online.”

It’s all very twenty-first century, according to David Abraham: “It will schedule the main channel content that is creating noise – amongst social media, bloggers, commentators and of course via contact our viewers have directly with us – and incorporate this buzz into the look and feel of the channel.”

As such, it seems fitting that you can also download the new 4seven app to find out about Channel 4’s most popular and talked about programmes from the last 7 days. And don’t forget, essentially you can have your say on what gets shown.

We welcome the newcomer into the fold as it will give viewers even more chances to see the most popular, water-cooler moment TV from the last seven days. How good is that?

For more information, you can read the full press release .

4seven TV listings will also be live on the website  soon and you can follow the channel on Twitter.

Please note, if you can’t see 4seven in your TV guide, you may need to retune.
