The future of technology is already upon us. Last year, the BBC launched a trial of Ultra High Definition (UHD) and High Dynamic Range (HDR) on BBC iPlayer, showing four stunning minutes of Planet Earth II. And now, from 10 December, the BBC are introducing a second UHD HR trial, providing all seven episodes of the Blue Planet II in UHD HDR.

To experience the wonder of UHD HDR you’ll have to own a compatible UHD TV and a suitable broadband connection. However, thanks to the successes of the first trial, this new trial will be available on over 300 devices.

Planet Earth II looks incredible on most TV’s. But previous audience feedback such as “it is pretty jaw-dropping” and “the experience was mind-blowing” suggests that you won’t want to miss out on this latest cutting–edge trial.
